Roll Tide Roll!
What a weekend for college football. Alabama kicked some serious dawg butt! I normally pull for Georgia, but not this time. Sean actually had an opportunity to go to the game but it just didn't work out. So we had our "dawg" friends over, and then some, for another fun-filled Saturday. Eva spent the night with her Nana. That's always tough on me but I knew it was best case scenario for these games. Looks like Ponder finally got his game together in FSU's win over Colorado. I was a little unsure on that one but glad to be wrong. Also - Florida lost! Miami lost! USC lost! Can it get any better?!
Well, we've decided to take a break from the potty training. I got some great advice and it did work a little - thanks Michele! But she is starting to get a little upset when I put her on the potty chair. So, we'll try again in a week or so. Like I said before, not a big deal. I definitely don't want to force the issue. I did paint her toes for the first time today. I think she likes it. She's been looking at her feet all day and smiling. Maybe we'll try another color next week.

Potty Time!
Well, wish us luck. We started potty training this week. Now before everyone starts giving me their point of view let me first say I know she's young. But here's my thoughts: I'm at home all day so why not, if it works - great!, if it doesn't - no big deal. We started on Tuesday. I still had pet sitting on Monday and didn't want to be dragging her around town while trying to learn such a valuable lesson. So really we've only been in this for two days now. So far she seems pretty ok with the idea of sitting on the potty. We bought her a Tigger and Pooh chair, Cinderella Pull-Ups, and M&M minis for rewards. Right now I give her one just for sitting on the chair. On Tuesday she did actually pee in the potty. I've never been so proud. he he he. That was really our only success so far. I've decided to only really try at times when I know she has to go and if she gets too upset for trying we stop immediately. I definitely don't want her to have any negative reactions with this.
Other than that things are good. She had her 15 month check up yesterday and everything looks great. Doctor did say she's a little small. Nothing to really be concerned about yet. She has grown in height but actually lost a tiny bit of weight since her 12 month visit. Basically she's tall and thin - don't we all want that? But like I said, nothing to worry about. They'll look more into things in Dec. if she hasn't grown more by then. She is reaching all her milestones and then some. Luckily for...well everyone...she doesn't have to have shots at the next visit. She cries (very loudly!) the entire visit. It's very hard to communicate when you can't even hear your own voice. Poor girl.
Here's a picture of her first time on the potty. That's her "good girl" ear by the way. It's the ear from her stuffed dog. It came off when she tried to pull the entire thing through the slats on her crib. Now she carries it everywhere she goes - much easier that the whole thing.

No Excuses
Sean joined a bowling league. Yep, you heard right. He joined a team through work and they call themselves "No Excuses". Tonight was their first game and it was tons of fun, for the short while I was able to stay. Eva was all over the place - it's like shes a toddler or something :) Anyway - everyone seemed to be having fun. They bowl three games each time. Sean scored 124, 124 and 127. Not bad for someone who only bowls once in a great blue moon. I kept telling everyone if we were bowling on wii I'd of kicked everyone's butt. But then someone actually heard me and started questioning my wii abilities. I didn't know people could be so serious about their bowling. :) I've attached a few pictures from tonight. I'll take more throughout the season and keep everyone up to date on their progress. The first picture is Sean, Michelle, Dana and Peggy. Then got some good action shots. :)
Well, tons of good games to watch this weekend. FSU V. Chattanooga is on ESPNU so I wont be able to see that one. But Alabama V. Western Kentucky is on @ 3 as well as the Georgia V. South Carolina. And of course Ohio V. USC at 8 - we'll all be watching that one. Both of my pet sitting jobs end on Saturday so that makes for a good day. I love the animals I'm watching right now, but am having to wake up at 6 in order to visit everyone and be home before Sean leaves for work. I know most working adults probably wake up around then, but I've gotten so used to sleeping until 7 or 7:30 that I feel drained. I'll be up for the games though! Go Noles!

Go Noles!
69 - 0!!!!! Way to open the season! Man, I don't know if Western Carolina is just that bad, or if we are gonna be awesome this year but what a blow out. The rain delays were so frustrating though. I thought we'd never get to see them play.
These next few months are always so much fun. We've got college football on all day Saturday and Sundays are for the NFL and Sean's softball games. I watched Sean's softball team win yesterday morning and then went to keep score for Andy's team later in the day; watching football inbetween of course. Unfortunately they didn't win, but still fun to watch. I just love this time of year! Then, of course, we've got Monday night football - so the weekend just keeps on going. :)

Here are a few pictures of Eva during one of the few moments she was feeling good this week.
So - looks like things are finally looking up. Today was the first day we saw a light at the end of the tunnel. Had to put her on children's Kaopectate every 2 to 3 hours but, whatever it takes! I'm so glad to see her getting back to normal. It's incredibly hard when your child is sick and you can't really do anything to help. Or at least not enough. But, she was laughing again today and wanting to play and there is just no better feeling than that. Well, I'm sure a good night sleep will feel pretty good, too. :)
Looking forward to tomorrow's FSU kick-off game against Western Carolina. Should be an easy one, but with 9 players out for the first 3 games ya never know. GO NOLES!!!

Video
Hey there - wanted to post a video of our little girl. She learned how to climb up me and flip over. Now she wants to "up up" all the time!

Hi!
Ok, starting this site hoping for the best. The other just wasn't doing what I wanted. Again - please bear with me as I learn how and what are the best things to do or add to the site.
So, Eva has been sick for the past 4 days now. Fever, chills, diarrhea, vomiting, not eating or drinking, etc. She's really been running on empty for a while now. This afternoon when she woke from her first nap, she couldn't move her head to the right and it scared me to death. Sean and I took her to PedsPlus - the local pediatric er. After a urine test (had to cath for that!) and blood work, it looks like she's just got a plain ol' viral infection. Dr. says to continue treating the fever with Tylenol and check with our Dr. in a few days if she's not better by then. What a day! Poor girl was tramatized from all the testing. I'm so glad she's young enough she wont remember any of that. But I tell ya - I'll NEVER forget it. It was really cute though in the middle of all the testing she started asking for Texas!! I guess since mama and daddy weren't "helping" her she was going for the next best thing? For those who don't know, Texas is one of our dogs. It helped us (briefly) from being so worried. Anyway - still not herself but hopefully on the way to normal.
Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. Will post again when I can. This is a busy week for me. I've got two pet sitting jobs and possibly a sick Eva. Take care!
